Tori Amos coming to SA

Cape Town – Tori Amos is coming to South Africa.

According to Computicket's website, the singer is set to perform at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperor's Palace on Saturday November 12 and The Grand Arena at Grand West on Thursday November 17.

The South African dates will make up part of her world tour to promote her album Night of Hunters, an epic collection of songs inspired by classical pieces of the past 400 years.

Amos entered prominence in the 1990's as one of the decade's most well known singer-songwriters. Her emotionally charged performances were characterised by her use of piano, a unique choice in the alternative rock genre.

Tori Amos's best known songs include Crucify, Cornflake Girl, and A Sorta Fairytale. She has sold over 12 million albums and has been nominated for eight Grammy awards.

Computicket tweeted on Tuesday that tickets for the South African shows are not yet available for purchase and that they will inform the public as soon as they become available.
