Cape Town - Viewers of MK89's Studio1 show have been mystified by a strange ending to Van Coke Kartel's performance in studio.

Van Coke Kartel performed a new single Vir Almal  to an enthusiastic studio crowd.

At the end of the song, the broadcast cut to black, during which several people can be heard to be screaming. When the picture restores, presenter Jean Jordaan is seen staring at his hands, which have blood on them.

The camera then zooms in on a bloodied drummer Jason Oosthuizen standing on stage.
