Cape Town – Yip. We had a chill session with Majozi, who is from Durban, in Cape Town. How’s that for keeping it local?
Nhlanhla Majozi is one seriously cool guy. When he first walked into our office with his hat, his boots and his guitar we felt a little intimidated. He seems like a serious muso and we’ve prepared some seriously silly questions for him.
But the moment Majozi sat down on our couch it was clear we could just be ourselves. He’s such a laid back, chill and super friendly guy.
"I’m a sensitive guy. Really I am," he says when we ask him why people should give his new album, Mountain, a listen. "I worked hard on it. So people should have a listen. Or I might cry. Really I might."
Not wanting anyone to cry we gave Majozi’s album a good few listens. We have to admit. We’re now absolute Majoburgers (a name we just made up to refer to fans of Majozi).
In true Channel24 fashion we asked Majozi 10 unexpected questions with absolutely no global importance. He could only answer with "hell yeah!" or "oh no". Here’s what went down:
1. Would you ever in your whole life try skydiving?
"I love adventure."
2. Are you like a super duper pro in the kitchen?
"I'm a disaster in the kitchen."
3. Hey. Do you like cheese?
"I'm lactose intolerant...but I still love cheese!"
4. Let’s get real now. Are you a One Direction fan?
"No. Why? Are you?"
5. We have to know! Would you be friends with Miley Cyrus?
"Old Miley or new Miley?"
6. Would you ever go to Coachella?
"I'd love to go!"
7. This is a tricky one! Would you be friends with Kendall Jenner?
"I guess so."
8. My dad wants to know if you would ever enter Survivor?
"Why does your dad want to know this?"
9. Would you ever adopt a cute like beautiful adorable little kitten?
"I thought you were going to say a kid. But a kitten would be cool too."
10. Are you wearing underwear right now?
