Cape Town - Irish Pop sensation Westlife, will headline the annual the fifth Jacaranda 94.2 Deuriemikke Karnaval.
The event will be hosted in association with kykNET and will be held at the SuperSport Park Centurion on Saturday 17 September 2011.
Westlife band member Markus Feehily tweeted his excitement at the prospective South African show, saying: "South Africa we are coming in September baby!"
The show will also include performances by Steve Hofmeyr, Jakkie Louw, Lianie May as well as a special appearance by the 2011 Idols Top 4, while rock lovers can look forward to Karen Zoid, Watershed and 2010 Idols winner Elvis Blue. Newcomers The Green Apple Project round off the local flavour.
Family friendly
The event will be family-orientated, with a festival ground and play areas for children.

Westlife is also set to perform at the Hart van Windhoek festival in Windhoek in September.
Due to a positive response in ticket sales, organisers have decided to move the festival to a bigger and more accesible location namely the Doc Jubber hockey and cricket grounds in Olympia, Windhoek.
