Alien Ant Farm heading to SA for 4 shows

Cape Town - There wasn’t a club, party or social gathering in the early 2000’s where you didn’t hear the anthemic Smooth Criminal tribute to Michael Jackson, multiple times.

Alien Ant Farm became the soundtrack to our teenage years and a single cover song opened a door to more fans than the California based band could ever have dreamed of.

Five albums later, album sales of over 5 million units, tours across the US, UK, Australia and Japan, features in movies such as American Pie 2, Spider-Man, video game The Punisher and the soundtrack for WWE Tough Enough, four top 10 singles across the world and a Grammy nomination for 'Best Hard Rock Performance' – Alien Ant Farm now adds their Ja Well No Fine South African Tour to their list of achievements.

"middle8 is part of a dream project we are building, it is just a very small piece of a much bigger dream," says Dean Roberts, middle8’s owner. "Our goal for middle8 is to bring at least 3 international acts a year to South Africa. But rather than push them into large venues, we want to use smaller, lesser-known venues, allowing fans a more intimate experience without tickets exceeding R250."

The band will perform four shows during the Ja Well No Fine South African Tour:

27 October – GoodLuck Bar, Johannesburg
28 October – Arcade Empire Halloween Party, Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria
31 October – Virgina Airfield, Durban
03 November – Mercury Live, Cape Town

Tickets are available from www.tickets.middle8.co.za now.
