Everything you need to know about UB40’s Cape Town shows

Cape Town – With only one more sleep to go until UB40 kicks off their SA tour, we bring you everything you should know about their Cape Town shows this weekend.

When and where?

Britain`s biggest reggae band of all time, UB40, will be performing at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on Saturday 5 November and Sunday 6 November. Address: Grandwest Casino & Entertainment World,1 Jakes Gerwel Drive, Goodwood.

Can I still buy a ticket?

Saturday’s show is sold out, but there are still tickets available for Sunday. Click here to get your ticket online or buy your ticket at the box office which opens 2 hours before the start of show.

What time?

19:00: Doors open

20:00: Opening act Grassy Spark to perform. Click here to find out more about them!

21:00 UB40 to perform.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Secure paid parking is available at R10.00 per car at the venue.

What can I drink and eat? 

Grand West has several restaurants, bars and a fast food court. Click here for more info.

Will there be merchandise for sale?

There will be a range of official merchandise to purchase (cash and card) starting at R200. 

Disabled facilities:

Disabled seating can be booked through Computicket’s call centre on 0861 915 8000.

Disabled patrons may buy 2 tickets (one for the disabled person plus one for a companion). Wheelchair bound patrons will remain in their wheelchairs and chairs will be provided for their companions. The Wheelchair patron (user) pays full price R510.00 and the companion (assistant) gets issued a free ticket.
 
What can I expect from the show?

UB40 will be performing classic hits and gems from their seminal albums Labour Of Love Parts I and II. Two of the band's most successful and defining albums, Labour Of Love Parts I + II between them include eight UK Top 20 singles, including Red, Red Wine, Kingston Town and The Way You Do The Things You Do.
