First look: Janie Bay launches new single and video featuring Hunter Kennedy

Cape Town - Janie Bay released a brand new Afrikaans single featuring Hunter Kennedy on Monday.

The song, titled Wag Vir Jou, is unlike anything heard in the current Afrikaans pop scene – a brooding pop song, questioning one’s relationship stamina.

Directed by Willem van den Heever and Janie Bay and shot in Strand, Cape Town, the video is moody and foreboding, the perfect companion piece to the song.

This is what Janie had to say about Wag Vir Jou: "I really wanted people to feel the lyrics in the song. Also to write their own story regarding the content in the video and to get some beautiful, moody shots. I am really excited for people see it!"
