From Sam Smith to Taylor Swift: Here’s all the music news you might have missed today


Cape Town – From breaking records to falling on stage, music stars dominated the entertainment headlines on Wednesday.

Taylor Swift, who recently made a comeback with some brand mew music, broke the one-day streaming record on Spotify with her new single, Look What You Made Me Do. The track also topped the US singles chart on Tuesday with the year's highest one-week sales, halting the historic reign of global sensation Despacito. (Read more here)

Sam Smith is (almost) back

The British singer said that a new song, Too Good at Goodbyes, would come out on Friday as he posted on social media a black-and-white picture of a decaying bouquet. (Read more here)
