GoodLuck, Mango Groove and more to play at New Year’s Eve bash in Plett

Cape Town - One of the country’s top holiday destinations, Plettenberg Bay, recently announced  its biggest New Year’s Eve concert in the last 10 years.

The region’s festival favourite, Get Lucky Summer, will be hosting a special ‘NYE’ edition on the Bitou Rugby Club fields in Robberg Beach on the night of 31 December 2017. The line-up includes South Africa’s top electronic trio GoodLuck, South Africa’s iconic Mango Groove, lyrical muso Matthew Mole, Local DJ legend DJ BUTTERS and more acts to be announced.

"We are getting ready for the most spectacular event and celebration this New Year’s Eve in Plett," says event organiser Scott Kleinschmidt. "We have handpicked a super fun lineup with some of the top artists and bands in the country with the highest energy performances. We are pulling out all the stops for this event!"

The Get Lucky Summer NYE concert edition is going to be a magical night, under the Garden Route stars, with fully-stocked bars and facilities, an exclusive VIP viewing deck, delicious treats from the variety of food trucks, and the best line-up the town has seen for decades.

Plett and Knysna were hit extremely hard in 2017 by the devastating fires which crippled the region which is why a portion of the event proceeds is going back into uplifting the Plett and Knysna communities. "The Garden Route suffered so much and we saw thousands of homes destroyed, the repercussions of which will reverberate through the community for years to come. We all feel the same love for the most beautiful place in the world and it makes us so happy that we can return this summer to bring a little joy and much needed fun to what has been a desperate time for many," says Ben Peters from GoodLuck.
