Just Jinjer bassist shares down-to-earth encounter with Princess Charlene

Cape Town – Local rockers Just Jinjer recently took to the stage in Monaco at the 69th Monaco Red Cross Ball Gala.

While on their visit there, the band – Ard Matthews, Denholm Harding and Brent Harris – were given a personal tour of the royal palace where they met Princess Charlene.

Taking to his Instagram account, bassist Denholm shared the following about the meeting: "They gave us specific instructions on formal greeting etiquette but upon HSH Charlene entering the waiting room, she gave me a hug and remembered me vividly from primary school!

"For her to be so friendly and grounded, while being surrounded by all this, speaks absolute volumes! We had a warm conversation about Benoni and it reminded me that so many current world dominating individuals, have S. African roots."

We were given a personal tour of the royal castle today, by invitation ... simply mind blowing! They gave us specific instructions on formal greeting etiquette but upon HSH Charlene entering the waiting room, she gave me a hug and remembered me vividly from primary school! For her to be so friendly and grounded, while being surrounded by all this, speaks absolute volumes! We had a warm conversation about Benoni and it reminded me that so many current world dominating individuals, have S. African roots. One of which is Chris Froome, who will be in attendance at tomorrow night's ball, where we are performing. No matter where or what any of us come from, we can BECOME anything. It is a choice that we are gifted, every single day. Let's dream big and then enthusiastically act upon it, dear friends!
