Johannesburg - The third season of kykNET’s Republiek van Zoid Afrika started on Thursday evening. Karen Zoid’s guests in this episode were seasoned actress Sandra Prinsloo and Afrikaans singer Francois Henning, alias Snotkop.
Like the previous two seasons Karen ends the show with iconic hit songs. During the first episode she and Snotkop performed the popular Afrikaans song Dis ’n Land. This version was immediately made available in Apple’s South African iTunes store.
Within minutes Dis ’n Land was in the top three and toppled Adele’s Hello for the number two position. Shortly thereafter it dethroned Justin Bieber from the top spot.
