Matthew Mole to headline local music festival Nu-Breed

Cape Town – Local muso Matthew Mole has been confirmed as the headline act for the upcoming Nu-Breed concert.

An off-shoot of the established and respected Cape Town Folk ’n Acoustic music festival, Nu-Breed is the cutting-edge showcase of the new generation singer/songwriters.

The announcement comes after Beatenberg frontman, Matthew Field, had to pull out of the festival as the headline act due to international touring commitments. "The band has been given a very rare opportunity to appear on a high profile TV show in the USA and we have decided that it is something we really shouldn’t miss out on. It is unfortunate that this means me pulling out of a previous agreement and not appearing at the Nu Breed Acoustic n Folk Festival," Field said.

Matthew Mole took the country by storm with his Sama nominated album The Home We Built, containing no less than three chart hits: Take Yours. Ill Take Mine, You & Your Crown and Chapel

The one-night-only Nu-Breed line-up includes Majozi, Michael Lowman, Chris Werge from The Voice on MNet, Johnson Twins (Al Bairre), Grace de la Hunt and many more.
