*NSYNC reacts to Adele's record breaking album

Los Angeles - Adele's 25 has taken just three days to smash the record for the most album sales in America in a week.

The 27-year-old singer's third studio album became the fastest-selling record Stateside in its first week of sales, registering figures of 2.433 million downloads and physical copies purchased by Monday, smashing the record set by *NSYNC in 2000, when they sold 2.416 million discs of No Strings Attached in seven days.

Here are reactions from some of the members of *NSYNC:

The record is now expected to have sold over 3 million copies by the end of its first week on sale.

What's more, the album is on course to be the fastest-selling of all time in the UK.

That record is currently held by Oasis, whose album Be Here Now sold 696 000 copies in its first week in 1997, whilst Official Charts Company statistics show 25 has shifted just over 500 000 within its first three days.

Adele's return to music comes after a four-year hiatus. The first single from the album Hello was knocked off the top spot in the UK but is still number one in the US.

The star hasn't made the album, released through XL/Columbia Records, available on music streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, however her previous albums 19 and 21, as well as Hello, are available for streaming.
