Cape Town – Just hours before his death, Chris Cornell took to the stage with Soundgarden in Detroit.
Cornell, 52, who died suddenly after his show on Wednesday night, played a sold out show at the Fox Theatre for what would be his final show.
According to a statement, Cornell's cause of death is not known yet and the family will reportedly be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause.
Fans expressed their excitement on Twitter about the band returning to Detroit.
