Los Angeles – Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently mixing their new album and we can’t wait for it!
The Can't Stop rockers are working with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on their first studio album since 2011's I'm with You and drummer Chad Smith shared a snap of himself with Nigel - affectionately known as "the sixth Radiohead member" - getting down to work mixing the LP.
Alongside the photo posted on his personal Twitter account on Monday, he wrote: "Started Mixing the new record today!@nigelgod at the helm (sic)"
Meanwhile the American rock band - consisting of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer – are said to have collaborated with Elton John on a new record for the forthcoming album.
While there is no release date for the album it looks like they could have some new material to perform when they headline this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals, where they will make a UK exclusive live return on the weekend of 26 August to 28 August.
