Richard Stirton is hitting the road to launch his debut album

2017-01-31 05:01

Cape Town – Richard Stirton has been on a rollercoaster ride since winning The Voice in late May 2016, having earned the major accolade of not one, but two iTunes No 1 singles.

The first was with his rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence from the hit show and the 2nd with his debut single What Tears Me That Most. This heart-warming single was penned by Brit Award winning artist James Bay, and is perfectly suited to Richard’s organic, authentic voice and magnetic sincerity.

Richard’s debut album, Middle Ground, released on 7 October 2016 rocketed off from the get go, with the album hitting the number 1 spot on iTunes in a matter of hours and holding onto the top position for an extended period of time.

Of this incredible journey Richard exclaims, "These have been the most surreal last few months and I cannot believe I finally have the opportunity to start releasing original music. I am feeling very blessed and I hope that everybody enjoys the music I have to share."

Richard has been on the road throughout 2016 and is about to release his 3rd single, Call It Luck, in February 2017.
