Cape Town - After the success of Mandelapalooza 2015, Shortstraw have decided to do it again.
What it’s all about:
Basically, a lot of cool bands will be playing at The Good Luck Bar on Sunday 17 July. The event is in honour of Mandela Day which is celebrated annually on Madiba’s birthday, which is 18 July. Entry to the event will depend on how generous you’re feeling, you can pay anything from R20 up to R200.
All the bands are giving their time and musical talents for free, and all the proceeds will go to Cotlands and Yenzani Children’s Home in Midrand.
There will also be a truck from Cotlands at the event to collect any blankets and non-perishable tinned foods you bring. Last year they collected 3 truckloads, and they’re looking to beat that this year.
