Cape Town – South African born band KONGOS on Tuesday offered to play at Donald Trump’s inauguration.
In a post on their Facebook page, the four brothers offered their talent and time to Trump, saying “Our new album, Egomaniac" and single "The World Would Run Better" are fantastic...tremendous sounds.”

This comes after Vulture reported last week that no one wants to perform at Trump’s inauguration, including Elton John. A Trump staffer on his transition team took it upon himself to announce that they’ve secured Elton John for the inauguration, only for Elton’s people to deny that he will have anything to do with the inauguration.

And now, the KONGOS have taken to social media with tongue-in-cheek posts about playing Trump’s inauguration.
Since offering their services to Trump, they’ve also shared some updates:
.@realDonaldTrump We'll get @GovMikeHuckabee on bass... we have the best music. #egomaniac

.@realDonaldTrump our fee will be totally tax-deductible for you and we can get @rogerwaters to open for us and build the wall.

Update: did not consider that his name is DJ Trump and perhaps he only wants electro acts. @realDonaldTrump #dj #remix

Fans had mixed reactions to their post on Facebook, with many saying that they're no longer a fan of the band, while others love them even more for their fantastic humour.
Channel24 reached out to KONGOS for comment on whether they will actually say yes if asked to play at Trump's inauguration, but at the time of publishing hadn't received any comment yet.
