Taylor Swift being sued for 'stealing' lyrics to Shake It Off

Cape Town – Two songwriters are claiming that Taylor Swift stole lyrics from their 2001 song for Shake It Off, reports TMZ.

Songwriters Sean Hall and Nathan Butler are claiming in a lawsuit that Taylor stole the lyrics of their 2001 song, titled Playas Gon' Play, which was recorded by girl group, 3LW.

A representative for Taylor responded to the lawsuit however, telling TMZ that the claim is "ridiculous" and that they don’t have a case.

The two songwriters have worked with stars such as Backstreet Boys, Victoria Beckham, Justin Bieber and Maroon 5 respectively.
