UK singer Ben Haenow has something special planned for all his SA fans

Cape Town – X Factor UK winner Ben Haenow is planning something very special for his SA fans.

Not sure who Ben Haenow is? Here’s the lowdown:

A landslide winner on the X Factor UK under the mentorship of Simon Cowell in 2014, Ben’s winner's single Something I Need was the Christmas No 1 as well as being the second fastest selling single of that year in the UK, achieving platinum status both there and in South Africa.

Released in the middle of November last year and having opened in the Top 5 on iTunes in South Africa, his self-titled debut album has officially been certified Gold in South Africa, for sales in excess of 20 000 copies.

The album’s official lead single Second Hand Heart featuring Kelly Clarkson was a monster smash too, being certified Gold and peaking at #12 on the South African EMA Top 100 singles chart.

And now, together with Sony Music Africa, Ben is asking you, his SA fans, to show him some love by sharing pics and videos of yourself singing his brand new single, All Yours. Simply tweet your pic or video with the hashtag #AllYoursSA and you could be featured in a fan video!

We also asked Ben 3 quick questions:

What would be your perfect date night?

I love to cook. I'm not particularly good at it but I do enjoy it (laughs). So maybe just a night in with some good food listening to some old vinyl records.

If you could pack your bags right now and go anywhere in the world for a holiday, where would you go and why?

It would genuinely be South Africa. I've never been and I hear it's absolutely beautiful. All the support I've had from SA has been overwhelming, so I'd love to come and play a show or two and see the fans, as well as the incredible beaches!

What has been the best advice you’ve ever received?

I suppose it seems a bit cliché but the best advice I received was "don't give up". It took me a long time to realise my dream but I'm glad I kept at it. You never know what's going to happen if you carry on.
