WATCH: J’Something remembers working with Hugh Masekela

Cape Town – Mi Casa front man J’Something has called working with Hugh Masekela a highlight of his career in a post on his Instagram aacount. 

The touching statement followed the announcement of Masekela’s death on Tuesday.

“I often get asked what the highlight of my career has been ... people often expect me to jump to winning awards or selling out shows or performing for Obama ... none of these actually. The highlight of my career has been spending 7 days in a car driving Bra Hugh around writing music and talking (mostly listening) about life. Never have I met someone who imparted so much onto my life in such a short span of time. I will be writing a blog post to share with you more about what this man meant to me and what he left with me. To his family and his team I pray for comfort and peace ... Bra Hugh I will miss you!”
