Los Angeles - Kesha broke down in tears when she performed Lady Gaga's song about sexual assault, Til It Happens To You, on Saturday night.
The Tik Tok hitmaker - who, earlier this year, was denied release from her recording contract with Dr Luke, despite claiming she had been abused by the producer - dedicated her appearance at the Humane Society's Los Angeles Gala to all victims of abuse and couldn't keep her emotions in check throughout her appearance.
Taking to the stage alongside Diane Warren - who co-wrote the song and was being honoured at the event - Kesha told the audience at Hollywood's Paramount Studios: "I want to dedicate this song to every man, woman, child, animal, that has ever been abused..."
After singing the Oscar-nominated song, which featured in The Hunting Ground, a documentary about sexual assault, the 29-year-old star could be seen struggling for breath as she wept while hugging Diane.

The singer also took to Instagram to share a few snaps of the night.
