Cape Town – Singer-songwriter Janie Bay released her first single and video under the Warner Music label on Friday.

The song, titled Dance, is a slice of breezy acoustic pop that is perfect for long summer days. Her as yet untitled debut album is slated for release later this year.

Hailing from the beautiful Helderberg area in Cape Town, now residing in Pretoria, Janie Bay started her career with an indie release, I Remember securing a number one hit on local mainstream and student radio stations. 

This early radio success was followed by endless touring, seeing her wow audiences in small intimate venues and on the major stages of Oppikoppi, White Mountain Festival, STRAB, Up The Creek, KKNK and Park Acoustics.
 
Janie has performed and recorded with some of South’s Africa’s finest artists including Jack Parow, Matthew Mole, Die Heuwels Fantasies, aKing, Francois Van Coke, Desmond & The Tutus and Valiant Swart to name a few. Janie has been on a journey of musical discovery, finding her voice in the folk-pop scene and charming audiences with her captivating voice and heartfelt performances.
