Cape Town – JAY-Z released the video for the title track of his new album via YouTube on Thursday.
The 8-minute long video for 4:44 comes as the second clip off his new album, following The Story of O.J. which was released a week ago.
Featuring contrasting images, the collage-like video opens with footage shot on a cellphone of a boy singing Nina Simone's cover of Feeling Good.
It then cuts to a clip of All by Myself: The Eartha Kitt Story, where the singer talks about love which is followed by footage of riots, street dancers, viral footage and live footage of Jay-Z and Beyoncé performing Drunk in Love together.
JAY-Z released 4:44 on 30 June, and has revealed that the title track is about his marriage to Beyoncé.
The video, like the album, comments on the black experience in America.
