Watershed to open for Roxette on SA tour

Johannesburg - Local acoustic rock band, Watershed, have been appointed as the supporting act for Roxette on the South African leg of their world tour.

The group will join the celebrated Swedish group as part of their XXX – The 30th Anniversary Tour.

According to Big Concerts, Watershed had their breakthrough in 2000 with the single Indigo Girl and have since solidified their reputation as one of the most respected and decorated bands to come out of the southern tip of Africa.

"Their distinctive melodic guitar sounds blend with the sultry tones of lead singer and songwriter Craig Hinds' voice to create a soothing and classic rock sound that is easily recognisable and yet utterly unique," they said of the in a statement.

Roxette, famous for hits like The Look and Must Have Been Love, will kick off their 30th anniversary year with visits to four South African cities: Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
