Wynand: "Without a doubt opening for Metallica, winning an Hyundai H1 at the MK Awards and performing at the Ho Hai Yan festival in Taiwan."

Jedd: "My favourite moments include winning the Hyundai van in MK’s Best Group category, playing with Metallica and the SAMA for Bloed, Sweet & Trane."

Jason: "My first highlight was to travel abroad with the band, most certainly also the chaotic lifestyle at that particular time and the brotherhood we shared while I was part of the band."

Jägermeister presents: The Final Tour

Van Coke Kartel has had a few drummers in their 10 year existence. They have elected to take the drummer who spent the most time as part of their line-up, Jason Oosthuizen, on the final tour with them.

Their first drummer, Justin Kruger, will however join them on stage to perform September Fools at Rumours Rock City on 15 July. The band’s last drummer, Dylan Hunt, will share Mercury Live’s stage with them one last time to perform Sweef with them on 28 July.

The band is also chatting to Peach van Pletzen (Bittereinder, Yesterday’s Pupil, Van Pletzen) about joining them on a song in Pretoria. Peach played the drums on and produced the Skop, Skiet & Donner album.

The Set List:

Van Coke Kartel asked their fans which of their songs they would like to experience live for the last time and their responses played a large part in the selection of the band’s final set list.

The band will play the following songs on tour:

Here man
Dis 'n land
Ondier kom!
Niemand is meer heilig nie
Buitenkant II
September Fools
In die agtergrond
Môregloed
Vir Almal
Tot die son uitkom
