Your Halloween gig guide

Cape Town – Although Halloween only officially falls on Monday 31 October, this weekend is filled with scary parties where you can get your costume game on.

Check out these events happening near you:

Voortrekker Monument
Taking place on Saturday 29 October at The Voortrekker Monument Pretoria, this Halloween party will feature 25 acts across 3 stages. Acts set to perform include Grassy Spark, December Streets, Matthew Mole, Bittereinder and many more. Tickets cost R160 online and R200 at the gate. Gates open at 16:00. MCQP Halloween Costume Party
MCQP presents its 2nd Fang-tastic Costume event of Haunting Howling fun at The Dragon Room, 84 Harrington street, Cape Town from 20:00 on Saturday 29 October. The party will feature ive acts, 8 bars, 2 stages and a free after party at Crew Bar (with MCQP Armband). Tickets cost R150. Click here for more info and to get your ticket.

Don Julio Day of the Dead at HQ
On Saturday, 29 October 2016 from 19:00 to 03:00 HQ is hosting a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) themed celebration brought to you by Don Julio. For one night, and one night only, you will have the chance to fully immerse yourself in this ancient Mexican tradition as HQ transforms itself into a night of the living dead. If you're dead-keen on getting there early, there'll be Don Julio Cocktails and Mexican Tapas for you to enjoy. Live acts set to perform include DJ Gio Ricca, Los Tacos (live), Chris De Vos and more. Zombie Walk and Zombie Fest
This annual walk of undead bodies will once again hit the Mother City on Saturday 29 October. Each year the Cape Town Zombie Walk/Fest and take over the streets of Cape Town. Cape Town Zombie Fest is an all ages event making it fun for the entire family and is the only pet friendly event of its kind. They also help raise funds for local charities like the Lucky Lucy Foundation for abused and neglected animals and will continue to do so. They need 9500 zombies to apply for & Set a Guinness World Record. The walk starts at the Company's Garden at 18:00 until 20:00. Click here for more info. 

The Zombie Walk Cape Town 2016 official after party will be happening at Madison Avenue Cape Town. The after party is a strictly over 18 event. The line-up will feature artists such as Minx, Jak Skandi, Kilopascal DJ and more. Tickets cost between R80 –R250. Click here for more info and to get your ticket.

A Haunting on Fox (Halloween)
Joburg's premier Halloween dress-up party returns on Saturday 29 October. The event will be taking place at 1 Fox and The Good Luck Bar. The line-up features Kyle Watson, Sketchy Bongo, Das Kapital and more. Tickets cost between R100 and R300. Click here for more info and to book your spot.
