Cape Town – It’s almost the weekend and we’ve got just the stuff to make it even better.

We round up some awesome music events happening this weekend so you can celebrate Heritage Day in style!

Woodstock Live Heritage Music Picnic
Enjoy your own picnic or buy from food vendors this Saturday at Trafalgar Park in Woodstock while listening to some local brass bands. There will also be some collaborative performances with Camillo Lombard and Don Vino of Topdog, Bongani Sotshononda Marimba Ensemble, Lee Thompson and Kesivan Naidoo. Entry is free.

Catch Freshlyground live Coffee & Chocolate Festival taking place this Saturday 24 September at the Green Point Cricket Club. The Finery Fair Arts Festival
Catch music from Bottomless Coffee Band, Gerald Clark, Georgetown Band and Silver Creek Mountain Band at this festival taking place from 24-25 September at Kievits Kroon in Pretoria. Also enjoy 80 finery makers, kidpreneur corner, theatre shows, craft workshops, craft beer, food trucks, wine tastings and more. Click here for more information and to get your ticket.

Cape Town Fringe Festival
Organised by the National Arts Festival, Fringe Festival is a two-week festival showcasing the best of SA’s arts and culture in the form of singing, dancing and theatre. Based on the Fringe festival concept originating in Edinburgh after World War Two, the festival is characterised by a collection of small performances run by independent practitioners. The event will span most of Cape Town, housed at various locations in the CBD and Langa, with each venue staging between six to eight performances per day. Live Loud Cape Town
5FM’s Live Loud is taking place in Cape Town on Saturday at Kenilworth Racecourse. Artists set to perform include Al Bairre, Jimmy Nevis, Riky Rick, MiCasa, Black Coffee, Matthew Mole, Gangs of Ballet and more. Tickets cost R295. Click here for more info and to get your ticket.
