Zayn Malik to make solo UK live debut at Capital Summertime Ball

Los Angeles - Zayn Malik will make his UK live debut as a solo artist at Capital's Summertime Ball with Vodafone.

The former One Direction has been added to the line-up for the annual music extravaganza on 11 June at London's Wembley Stadium and it will be the first time he will perform his lead single Pillowtalk from his debut album Mind of Mine.

It will also be the first time the BeFoUr hitmaker has performed at the ball without his former band mates - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - who last played the gig in 2015.

And it could be awkward as his former fiancee Perrie Edwards - whom he dumped via text following four years of dating last year - will be performing on the same day as him with her band Little Mix.

Ashley Tabor, founder & executive president of Global and managing editor of Capital confirmed:

"We've ended an incredible week on a high with the news that international superstar Zayn will be joining us for Capital's Summertime Ball - his first stage performance in the UK as a solo artist. Zayn has taken the world by storm with his solo launch and is one of the most in demand artists right now. He'll be performing his smash hit Pillowtalk, which is the first time he's ever performed the song! We can't wait to welcome Zayn to the stage at Wembley Stadium together with all the other huge acts for this summer's biggest party!"

The 23-year-old pop star joins previously announced acts Flo Rida, Little Mix, Craig David, Nathan Sykes, Mike Posner and Sigala, Ariana Grande, Tinie Tempah, Years & Years, Lukas Graham, The Vamps and Zara Larsson, will.i.am, Nick Jonas, Jess Glynne, Jillionare of Major Lazer and WSTRN.
