American Pie star in trouble over Malaysian Airlines Twitter joke

2014-07-17 20:25

Los Angeles – Shortly after Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crashed in a field in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, Jason Biggs tweeted a joke that would land him in hot water.

The American Pie star tweeted; “Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?”

Within minutes Biggs received criticism for his decision to joke about the incident.

Twitter user @Bobby_Blight was just one of hundreds who lashed out at the actor, tweeting; “@JasonBiggs to bad you weren't on the flight you hack.”

But Biggs didn’t back down. He hit back with; “Hey all you "too soon" assholes- it's a fucking joke. You don't have to think it's funny, or even be on my twitter page at all. (sic)”

He followed that tweet with several others including; “Truly- you losers are literally trying to find shit to get angry about. Channel your issues elsewhere. (sic)”
