Amy Winehouse Foundation to launch soon

Los Angeles - The Amy Winehouse Foundation will be launched on September 14.

Mitch Winehouse - who has set up the charity in memory of the late singer, who was found dead at her London home on July 23 - explained the Back To Black hitmaker's family are hopeful that they will now be able to turn their "grief into positive action".

Writing on his twitter page, Mitch said: "The launch of Amy's foundation 14th September. We will turn our grief into positive action. (sic)"

However, the establishment of the charity - which will provide assistance to young addicts - had to be postponed after encountering a problem with registration early in its set-up.

Mitch recently said: "Somebody else pinched it off of us before we could get it registered. All these donations which are coming in - we don't know what to do with them at the moment.

"We'll have to hold off for the time being".

Toxicology results revealed Amy - who battled drink and drug addictions throughout her career - had no illegal substances in her body when she died.
