The 35-year-old film maker was formally charged under his full name Reginald in June after a woman alleged she got drunk on a night out and the next thing she remembers was him having sex with her, the court heard.

Rebecca Mundy a lawyer for the Crown Prosecution Service said in June: "I have authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Reginald Traviss with two counts of rape.

"The alleged offences took place between 29 December 2011 and 1 January 2012. The decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors," she explained.

The sexual assault was first reported on 18 January and Traviss was arrested on 5 April by the Metropolitan Police. publishes all comments posted on articles provided that they adhere to our Comments Policy.
