Butler designs Lady Di chair

London - Princess Diana's former butler has designed a chair inspired by the late royal.

Paul Burrell, 53, who Diana famously referred to as her "rock" has created a furniture line called Highland House and revealed one of the pieces was made in homage to the princess - who died in a Paris car crash in 1997, according to Britain's Daily Mail.

Explaining Diana's love for his son Nick, Paul explained: "She used to say he's my little man and he needs lots of hugs and kisses. So I made a chair for him with a row of hugs and a row of kisses."

Speaking about the collaboration previously, Tom Staats, president of Highland House said: "No country seems to intrigue Americans more than Great Britain, and there's no style of decorating more popular or more often emulated than timeless, classic British style.

"We're fortunate to collaborate with someone like Paul Burrell who brings with him 21 years in service to the English Royal Family and exposure to a wealth of expertise in all aspects of fine English lifestyles.

"Paul is an ideal consultant who brings with him a unique platform around which to create and market a collection of elegant-yet-relaxed country English furniture. This will be an ideal fit within our already well-established European Excursions marketing strategy."
