Cape Town – Christopher Lee has died at age 93.
The Dracula actor passed away on Sunday shortly after being hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure, The Guardian reports.
News of his death comes days later as his wife requested to first personally inform family members. They were married for over 50 years.
Lee was best known for his portrayal of the famous vampire in Dracula and appeared in other films such as The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Star Wars and The Hobbit.
Along with his string of films, Lee also recorded and released several albums including Charlemagne: The Omens of Death.
The Guardian goes on to report Lee has a film yet to be released called Angels in Notting Hill.
