London - Photographs of the Beatles taken by a devoted fan who regularly visited their homes in the mid-1960s are to go on sale in Britain, auctioneers said on Wednesday.
Sue Baker, who was 15 at the time, tracked down Paul McCartney's home in St John's Wood, north London, from a description in a magazine.
After she visited him numerous times, he volunteered the addresses of John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, who lived near each other in Surrey, southwest of London.
She then starting visiting them every weekend for the next two years.
"They would always answer the doors and speak with us. I remember John saying that if it weren't for people like me he wouldn't live in such a nice house," Baker said in comments quoted by British media.
Her collection of photographs, which includes shots of her posing outside Harrison's psychedelic-painted bungalow and on the bonnet of his Mini Cooper, is going under the hammer at an auctioneers in Reading next month.
The collection of over 50 previously unreleased photographs and the envelope featuring the Beatles' addresses written by McCartney is expected to fetch up to £3 000.
