London - It makes a change from the Changing of the Guard. Tourists outside Buckingham Palace have been treated to a mass dance routine in honour of the recent royal wedding.
More than 100 dancers emerged from the crowds outside the palace gates on Monday to perform routines to a mix of tunes including We Will Rock You by Queen.
Participant Lucy Sam said the routine used urban dance techniques to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
'Fantastic'
The seemingly spontaneous flashmob was arranged by the palace to mark a reception honouring young people in the performing arts.
Most of the dancers were students from the University of East London.
Canadian tourist Suzanne Kootes, from Toronto, said the routine was "fantastic" and "made me want to join in".
