Gordon Ramsay closes restaurants

Australia – British chef Gordon Ramsay has been forced to close two of his restaurants due to financial problems, reports Contact Music.

Gordon has been struggling since the economic crisis and was forced in 2009 to put about R57m of his own money into his businesses to keep them running.

The company, Gordon Ramsay Holdings (Grh), reportedly suffered a loss of about R44m and also had to pay outstanding taxes.

According to the Daily Star, Ramsay's Maze and Maze Grill in Melbourne was liquidated due to debt of about R35m.
