Joost moves, Amor stays

 Johannesburg – Former Springbok captain Joost van der Westhuizen was cagey when asked to confirm the split between him and his wife, singer Amor Vittone.

“I don’t care! I will no longer try to keep everyone on Earth happy. In the past this was my downfall,” was Joost’s response when asked to comment on the rumours of the demise of his marriage.

Amor apparently kicked him out of the marital home on Thursday evening. He was now living with friends.

But, contrary to newspaper reports, the singer and her two children had apparently not moved out of the family’s posh home on the Dainfern estate in Johannesburg.

Amor’s mother and manager, Delyse Vittone, said on Saturday that her daughter was still living in the house.

The couple arrived last Saturday in different cars at a Vereeniging event and didn’t speak a word to one another.

Since the news broke of the sex tape scandal last year, the couple had been under a lot of strain.
