Los Angeles - Dr Conrad Murray was freed from jail on Monday after serving two years for causing Michael Jackson's death, CNN reports.
Murray, 60, left from the back door of the jail in a police cruiser shortly after midnight early Monday morning.
Murray's lawyer says he is not being released due to good behaviour, but rather credit for time served. Murray was given an additional day of credit for every day he served.
A jury concluded after a two-month trial in 2011 that Murray's negligence led to Jackson's death from an overdose of the surgical anaesthetic propofol.
