Los Angeles - Liza Minnelli is canceling seven upcoming performances because she has bronchial pneumonia.
In a statement released through her publicist on Thursday, the entertainer said she was ordered by her doctor to cancel the shows.
"I'm greatly disappointed that I will not be able to continue my tour. I do not want to let down my fans," her statement read. "I will be back on stage on November 20."
The canceled performances include an October 15 concert in Spokane, Washington; an October 22 show in Appleton, Wisconsin; and an October 29 appearance in Joliet, Illinois. She also will miss shows in Indiana, Massachusetts and Tennessee, according to her website.
She said she'll return to the stage on November 20 in Staten Island, New York.
Minnelli's tour features material from her new CD, Confessions.
