Madrid - Spanish Hollywood actor Penelope Cruz, 36, is four-and-a-half months pregnant, her agency said on Tuesday.
Cruz was on her way to London to finish shooting the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Antonio Rubial said in a press release.
Cruz' agents had earlier denied rumours about her pregnancy.
Cruz wed fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem, 41, in the Bahamas in July.
Cruz and Bardem first met on the set of the Spanish 1992 film Jamon, Jamon, in which they co-starred. They became romantically linked in 2007.
Cruz is starring in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. She has a role as a former lover of pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp.
Cruz won an Oscar in 2009 for her supporting role in Woody Allen's film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, a year after Bardem won an Oscar in the same category for his performance in the Coen brothers' movie No Country for Old Men.
