Charlene arrives for religious ceremony

Cape Town - The religious ceremony to mark the marriage of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene has begun in Monaco.

Prince Albert took to the red carpet at 16:55 wearing a white suit, and he was joined at the alter shortly after by his bride, Princess Charlene.

Princess Charlene strode the red carpet on the arm of her father, Mike Wittstock. She wore a simple white satin dress designed by Giorgio Armani. She notably did not wear a tiara or earrings.

The ceremony is still in progress. The royal couple are to exchange rings at 17:30.
