London -British pop star Robbie Williams will marry his US actress girlfriend this weekend on an island off the California coast, a newspaper said Friday.
The singer, 36 - who recently rejoined British band Take That - is to tie the knot with Ayda Field, 31, in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, Britain's Sun newspaper said.
The couple had kept the wedding a close secret and only told family and friends last week, said the report. The ceremony will take place on the island of Santa Catalina, 32km off the coast of Los Angeles.
In 1995, Williams parted company with boy band Take That, and had a string of romances with fellow pop stars and Hollywood actresses as he pursued a successful solo career.
But the pop star has calmed down since meeting Field in 2006, and he popped the question to her last November live on an Australian radio show.
Wedding guests have been told to assemble early Saturday at a small port and will then be ferried to the island, said the Sun.
A source told the paper: "They have tried to keep the guest list for the wedding as small as possible and have revealed only scant detail of the ceremony to the lucky few who are invited."
The news comes just weeks after it emerged that Williams was rejoining Take That and that the band had been secretly recording a new album to be released in November.
