Social Media welcomes the birth of the new Princess

Cape Town – The world stood still as it was announced on Saturday morning that Duchess Catherine had gone into the early stages of labour.

Hours later it was announced that HRH the Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a baby girl into the world.

Weighing 3.71kgs, the new princess was born at 9:34 am (South African time) and is said to be strong and healthy.

Along with a warm welcome from the supporting crowd outside the hospital, social media lit up with best wishes for the royal family and their new addition.
