Star gives advice

New York - After entering rehab last year, singer Demi Lovato is telling young girls to seek help if they have issues.

Lovato said at concert on Saturday that last year she "was not in a good place." She also told young girls in the audience who had similar issues that "you can recover and it's possible if you just tell someone."

The 19-year-old entered a treatment facility for three months last year to deal with "emotional and physical issues." As an eight-year-old who faced bullying, Lovato had an eating disorder and later started cutting her wrists to vent her despair.

Lovato was beginning to play her latest song, Skyscraper, before she stopped to address the crowd.
