Stephen Covey, 7 Habits author, dies

Salt Lake City - Stephen R Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, has died at 79, three months after a serious bicycle accident.

Ryan Cameron of Covey's consulting firm, Franklin Covey, said the author died early on Monday at a hospital in Idaho amid complications from the accident.

Covey wrote three other books that also sold more than a million copies.

The bicycle accident happened on 19 April on a steep road in Utah. Covey was unconscious and taken to a hospital, where doctors found signs of bleeding.
