Jaipur - Oprah Winfrey says she is confident that President Barack Obama will win another four-year term in this year's US elections.

The talk show host was addressing a literary festival on Sunday in the northwestern Indian town of Jaipur.

Winfrey praised Obama's handling of the presidency. She said his next four years would be even more successful, with people able to get back to work.

Winfrey backed Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign in her first-ever political endorsement.

She was among the biggest crowd pullers at the annual Jaipur Literary Festival, which brings together top writers, poets and critics and around 50 000 literary fans from around the world.

Winfrey has been in India for a week filming programmes for her new TV network.

I am not so sure. A great many Americans are unhappy about promises that never came to fruition. Also no American president has ever been re-elected in a bad job market, so it will be interesting to see if he could pull off a second term.

It would be the beginning of the end of the US. If we look at all the dangerous laws creeping out of the woodwork under his mastership Americans will be committing suicide by voting him in again !

Running a bankrupt state is no joke. Before a new president can implement his promises he first needs to get the country out of its dreadful financial position. That alone is going to take more than two terms in office. He will have to make very unpopular decisions like cutting social grants, reducing government employees, cut the military budget, increase taxes etc. How long do you think a president like that will last? One most understand that the United States is in the state it is because of the governments Americans chose in the last couple of decades not because of the action of one president!

Will take a light year by a really good president to fix what Bush left behind. Obama is best for the job.

Personally, I think that if South Africa were in a place where people could actually be in doubt about which party or person would rule next, all our problems will go away. It must be great being American : your vote really makes a difference.

There is no shadow of any doubt that this President is winning the second term. The Republican show of convention is just a waste of money, energy and TIME. This President has proved on many a occasions that together they can work better for all Americans and for the Humans of all the nations. And "That's It". 'Sooner the Republicans understand that better it is'.
