Cute! Prince George gets his first mail stamp for the Queen’s birthday

Cape Town – In honour of Queen Elizabeth ll’s 90th birthday on Thursday the Royal Mail has released “a specially commissioned Stamp Sheet of 4 generations of the Royal Family”.

This means that the 4th and cutest generation made his debut on his very first Royal stamp and it is absolutely adorable.

Prince George is pictured standing on a box holding his father’s hand alongside Queen Elizabeth ll and Prince Charles to mark the special occasion.

According to a statement obtained by E! News, Royal Mail states the photo was taken in the Summer of 2015 by photographer Ranald Mackechnie.

The statement also notes Prince George stood on a box for two very good reasons.

“For both aesthetic and technical reasons Prince George couldn't be positioned much lower within the photograph. The position of each portrait within the miniature sheet was critical due to tight technical constraints.”

Royal Mail have also released a further 6 stamps to honour HM’s family life as well as her official role as the Queen of Britain.
