Hugh Hefner: The pipe-smoking hedonist who revved up the sexual revolution

Cape Town – Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was at the top of the news list on Thursday.

The publishing mogul died of natural causes at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday night. He was 91.

Hef revved up the sexual revolution in the 1950s and built a multimedia empire of clubs, mansions, movies and television, symbolised by bow-tied women in bunny costumes.
