Cape Town - There’s still a week left of the Cape Town Fringe Festival, where about 70 productions by the country’s most exciting, emerging and established theatre practitioners are popping up throughout the city.

Here are 3 productions that you can still catch:

1. You Suck and Other Inescapable Truths

The hilarious Klara van Wyk’s latest work sounds like a much funnier local mashup of Mean Girls and Gossip Girl. Teenage angst meets Van Wyk’s deadpan humour and biting social commentary.

2. #BalletMustFall

“We are tired of Swan f***ing Lake,” says the team from Nyamaropa Creative Inc dance company, whose latest production describes ballet as a “white tendency” that “must fall” for other dance forms to rise.

3. The Gruffalo

An all-black cast performs this West End smash hit based on the beloved children’s book of the same name. This is the South African premiere.
